Q: What is a walkthrough haunted house?
A: This walk-through style haunted house is made up of many highly detailed Halloween related scenes designed to bring you face to face with your worst fears and phobias. Custom built exclusively for use during the month of October, it is located in the former Uncle G’s Market and totally indoors
Q: How long is the experience?
A: Timed ticketing reduces queue line wait times but wait times may vary. Expect longer wait times Fridays and Saturdays closer to Halloween. Speed Pass is available at an additional cost on a very limited basis to lessen, but does not eliminate wait time on line. The actual haunt experience averages 17-18 minutes. Come earlier in the month for the same thrilling experience but with less wait time on line.
Q: How many people are allowed in the haunt at a time?
A: General Admittance ticket holders may enter the haunt in minimum groups of 4 persons at a time. Speed Pass ticket holders enter according to their group size from 1-7 persons providing each person holds a valid Speed Pass ticket.
Q: Do you offer a Speed Pass option?
A: Yes. For an additional fee, Speed Pass ticket holders can enter into the exclusive Speed Pass Queue that substantially cuts down the wait time. In addition, they will be allowed to enter together in any size group from 1-7 persons provided each person holds a valid Speed Pass Ticket. General Admission Ticket holders may enter the haunt in minimum groups of 4.
Q: Is there Parking?
A: Yes, there is plenty of free parking available.
Q: Is there food available to purchase:
A: Not at this time. Please check back
Q: What if it’s too scary?
A: If at any time a person decides the haunt is more than they can handle and are too scared to continue, they can tell any of the personnel inside of their desire to leave. They will be immediately escorted out through one of the interior exits. Upon exiting they will not be allowed back in the haunt but will instead be instructed on where they can reunite with their group. There are NO REFUNDS.
Q: Will any of the actors touch me?
A: No! There is a no contact rule in this haunt that includes patrons. You do not touch anyone or anything and you will not be touched. Should intentional touching by a patron occur, you will be immediately escorted off the premises without completing the event.
Q: Are pictures or video allowed in the haunt?
A: No cameras, cell phones, glow sticks, flashlights or any other source of artificial light is permitted in the actual haunt. Photo ops will be available at times in the queue area with the monsters free of charge.
Q: Can I go through again after I’ve made it through once?
A: No. There is no free re-admission. You are encouraged to purchase another ticket to experience the haunt again but tickets may not be available on the same night.
Q: Is the haunt handicap available?
A:Yes. Average size self propelled wheelchairs can navigate the haunt but no motorized or oversized chairs or vehicles are allowed.
Q: What if it rains?
A: The event is open rain or shine.
Q: Do you have party facilities available?
A: No. Not at this time.
Q: When did Scared by the Sound first open?
A: Scared by the Sound opened for its first season in 2000. 2024 marks our 23rd year!

In Addition
This haunt event will have flashing strobe lights, lasers, loud noises, fog and of course actors and props meant to startle and scare you in tight and sometimes dark areas/rooms. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or any other medical, physical or emotional condition, you should not enter the haunt. Also, infants and small children will not be allowed to enter as well.
